The Second Trailer for 'Wonder Woman 1984' Is Here

As promised, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment just unveiled an action-packed new trailer for 'Wonder Woman 1984.'

As promised, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment just unveiled an action-packed new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 as part of DC FanDome.

Featuring the return of Gal Gadot's titular character and Chris Pine's Steve Trevor, the new film sees Wonder Woman go from World War I to the Cold War. Offering a more in-depth look at the villains played by Kristin Wiig and Pedro Pascal, and it also showcases some very, very '80s outfits. The trailer was presented as part of the virtual convention by the film's director Patty Jenkins, Gadot, Pine, Wiig, and Pascal.

“I really think the movie is so great on the big screen. We all worked so hard to bring something that would be a big visual spectacular,” Jenkins said. “So we’re going to stick it out, and we believe in putting it in the cinema. ... I can’t wait for the movie to come out soon!” Currently, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 2, 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic that date is subject to change.

It's worth highlighting that the end of the trailer doesn't list a date, leaving room for another delay. Initially, it was to open in theaters on June 5, but for obvious reasons, that didn't happen. It appears very unlikely, just as with Christopher Nolan's Tenet, that the film will get a digital-first release.
