The Rizzler, whose real name is Christian Joseph, recently sat down for an interview on Theo Von's podcast This Past Weekend, and left the comedian shocked after the 9-year-old viral star shared details about his surprisingly late bedtime.
At around the 8-minute mark of the podcast, Theo recalled meeting The Rizzler for the first time at Craig's in Los Angeles. "I'm not trying to rat you out or whatever, but you were up at... It was like 10 p.m.," Theo said. "Yeah," The Rizzler responded, to which Theo gave him a surprised look. "Well, now my bedtime is 1 o'clock in the morning, so," he said. Theo laughed, "What? What are you, a union worker?"
Theo also highlighted that he saw the Rizzler drinking soda late at night, which he said is the reason he didn't get to bed until 3 p.m. the next day. "They do have strong soda there," Theo laughed. "You didn't blink for like 11 minutes I was talking to you." Von then asked if The Rizzler gets to choose his own bedtime, or if his parents are in charge of when he calls it a day, to which he replied that he typically just goes to bed when his parents do. "I have to watch a movie before I go to bed," The Rizzler added. "I can't not go to bed without watching something at all. But if I'm super tired, I just go to bed and close my eyes."
The Rizzler has been attracting steady viral attention since at least 2023 thanks to his signature move: the "Rizz Face." Last year, he made several mainstream media appearances, often alongside Big Justice and A.J., also known as the Costco Guys. He appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, an event for All Elite Wrestling, and he even threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New York Mets game earlier this year. He also appeared on Complex's Sneaker Shopping, in which he ranked food-themed sneakers and discussed his dream shoes.
The Rizzler marks something of a change of pace for Theo Von's podcast. Recent guests on the podcast have included OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix, and Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi. Theo Von also recently used his platform to question JD Vance, a previous guest on the show, about why he's gone back on his word to release the long-rumored list of high-profile clients of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
