The Batman is scheduled to open in theaters in less than two months, and it’s set to be the longest Caped Crusader outing yet.

Variety reports that The Batman is expected to run for two hours and 47 minutes, and that’s without credits. A source close to production confirmed the huge 167-minute runtime, which will make it longer than any solo Batman movie. It just edges out Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, which clocked in at 165 minutes. There are only two major comic book movies—Avengers: Endgame at 181 minutes and Zack Snyder’s Justice League at 242 minutes—that run longer.

Starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role, The Batman will arrive in theaters on March 4, 2022. It was initially scheduled to release last year but was pushed back on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rounding out the cast of the Matt Reeves-directed film is Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The news comes alongside confirmation the film will be rated PG-13, per a recent bulletin from the Motion Picture Association. The Batman received the rating for “strong violent and disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.” While that might sound disappointing to fans hoping for an R-rated Batman film, Nolan’s Dark Knight films all got a PG-13. Those movies, especially the second in the trilogy, pushed the limits of the rating certificate.

Following its theatrical release in March, The Batman will make its way to HBO Max 45 days later.
