Shane Gillis Dubs Jalen Green's Wingstop Ad 'Most Racist Commercial' He's Ever Seen

The comedian said he can't even describe the commercial without sounding racist.

Comedian Shane Gillis has dubbed Jalen Green's new Wingstop commercial the "most racist" he's ever seen.

On the latest episode of Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast, his show with Matt Mccusker, Gillis told the NBA playoffs "to chill on the commercials."

Around the episode's 10:30 mark, he said: "They are targeting the African-American community with intensity. Every single commercial is catered to Black people... It's not race war stuff, but Wingstop's taking up a bunch of ad space. ... It's like every chicken place. You're watching it going, 'Dude, chill, spread it out, dude. Put one on the PGA tour to throw it off a little.'"

A member of the crew chimed in to mention that he noticed how people couldn't believe the recent Wingstop commercial starring Jalen Green wasn't racist. "The Winstop commercial is the most racist commercial I've ever seen," Gillis said. "I can't even describe the Wingstop commercial without sounding racist." Gillis didn't mention Green by name, but described the commercial in detail.

"I think it's supposed to be an NBA player, and he's doing the whole fashion walk-through that they do, and then he hops in a limo and just crushes chicken," he said. "And every white guy on Earth goes, 'I knew that's what they're doing. I knew that's what was going on in those cool limos.'"

The Jalen Green Wingstop commercials launched in February, with the Houston Rockets star sharing the ads on his Instagram. The spot was developed by Wingstop and ad agency 72andSunny.

While Jalen Green's Wingstop commercials might be getting a lot of play these NBA playoffs, Green himself will no longer be seen on the court after his Rockets lost in a seven-game series to the Golden State Warriors last weekend.

The final game saw the Warriors win 103-89 at Houston's Toyota Center. Green ended the night with eight points, four rebounds, and one assist.
