On the latest episode of her podcast with wife Miranda Pearman-Maday, former child actor Raven-Symoné revealed that she was just 15 when she got her first breast reduction surgery.
Comedian and actress Michelle Buteau joined the two on the podcast, where she revealed that she had gotten her second breast reduction surgery recently. "Welcome to the team," Symoné replied, later asking her how old she was when she got her first one. "I had my first breast reduction at 15. ... I was a triple D all the way down to a B."
She added that she was told by "someone" that she "needed to do it in order to get a show." She didn't explain who told her that, or what show it was, however. "It's going in my book," she said with a smirk. "At the same time I was like, if you're going to take my boobs out I want a lipo. I was like, one for one bro let's go. ... When you gain weight, those boobs come back no matter what."
She previously spoke about getting two breast reduction surgeries before she turned 18 in 2023. At that time, she suggested that her dad "suggested strongly" that she should get breast reduction surgery. She also said that she suffered a seizure after her first surgery.
Recently, Symoné stopped by Los Angeles' KBLA Talk 1580 radio station to reveal that she never enjoyed being an actor. “I never really liked acting,” she said. "Take any being at three years old and thrust them into a school of one type of talent and saturate them until they're 35 years old—they're going to be really good at it.”
