After winning a bet over a 1-on-1 basketball game, streamer and producer PlaqueBoyMax took former WNBA star Liz Cambage on a live streamed date.
As seen in the VOD of the Twitch stream above, Max, 22, greeted Cambage, 34, with flowers at the start of their date. “Oh, this a real date,” she smiled. He then informed her that he booked a private chef, and they locked arms as they walked into Erewhon to get a smoothie. As a young boy noticed them walking by, Max joked, “Aye, marry a girl taller than you, lil bruh.”
Max made it clear that he was taking the date seriously when they sat down for a moment, and he joked that he wanted his children to play basketball. “You could potentially save my lineage,” he said, to which she laughed. Due to their difference in height, with Max standing at 5’11” and Cambage at 6’9”, she wondered what height their kids would be if they started a real relationship. “I get scared, if I have a baby with someone taller, that baby is just going to be too big to function,” she joked. “So maybe I gotta go the point guard route.”
Max also made his argument for shorter or average height men being “the wave” right now, especially since he believes that Cambage should be the center of attention. “The eyes should be on you,” he added. They later got some time alone in a private room, where they enjoyed Japanese food and some alcohol. “Cheers to NBA kids,” he laughed, while she struggled with the strength of the alcohol they had. “You trying to kill me!” she said.
During the date, she also opened up about living in China, where she currently plays for the Sichuan Yuanda. They also spoke about the age gap between them at another point of the stream, during which he guessed that she was still in her 20s, while she joked that he activated her “cougar mode.” They closed out the date with Cambage getting a tattoo that he chose, which was five stars.
Earlier this month, Cambage agreed to go on a date with Max after he beat her 21-20 in a 1-on-1 basketball game. Cambage jokingly accused him of “cheating the whole time,” but ultimately conceded that she will go on a date with him and get a tattoo of his choosing.
