Dean Byrne, 41, has courted controversy after creating content for OnlyFans with his 18-year-old son, Bray.
Now he's hitting back against the backlash despite the questions raised by the family collaborations.
In an interview with TMZ, which can be seen below, Dean and Bray talked about their decision to work together. Bray explained that he felt compelled to start making adult content after he turned 18, but his father told him early on that he shouldn’t get involved.
“He said, ‘Well if you’re gonna do it, you best off do it right,’” said Bray. “‘I’ll take you under my wing.’”
Dean said he didn't want his teenage son to "close any doors" by becoming an adult content creator.
“He’s young, he’s still got a lot of options open to him,” Dean said. "I’m a lot older, so I could afford to make these mistakes and it not really hurt me too badly. … I completely put him off, but he came back and said he was gonna do it anyway.”
Dean said it wasn’t too hard to get over the awkwardness of posing together because the two already have a close bond, and they frequently workout together. Bray added that his mother passed away when he was young.
“It’s not new to us, it’s not weird,” Dean insisted. “Some of the requests have been quite interesting, but I don’t think it’s odd at all.”
Bray also said that before he started making his own content, people would send him photos and videos of his dad.
“Some people, they’d find it crazy or it’d scar them, but for me, I just see it as a friend, it is what it is,” he said. “For me, money was never the main thing, I kind of want to show people our bond and how a father-son bond can be special.”
When asked about some of the “interesting” requests the duo have gotten, Dean hesitated for a moment.
"They’re strong, let’s put it that way," he admitted. "Very explicit, very strong requests of what people wanna see us doing together. Yeah, our inboxes have been full.”
