New ‘Atlanta’ Season 3 Teaser Sees Cast Appearing in Strange Product Ads

Atlanta Season 3 is just over two months away, and ahead of its release FX has shared another teaser with the cast advertising strange products in Europe.

Featuring Earn, Brian Tyree Henry’s Paper Boi, Zazie Beetz’s Van, and LaKeith Stanfield’s Darius as they confusedly, impatiently appear in overly joyful commercials, the teaser also serves as a reminder to viewers that Season 3 mostly takes place overseas. It still has plenty of that Atlanta feel with a brief reference to OutKast’s “So Fresh, So Clean,” but iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben linger in the background.

Fans of Donald Glover’s series will remember the show has included a number of comedic, in-universe commercials in the past, most notably in the fan favorite Season 1 episode “B.A.N.” The character Clark County also delivered a catchy jingle for YooHoo in Season 2. It’s clear that this is something Paper Boi will have to deal with as he continues to grow in popularity.

The latest look at Season 3 arrives not long after Donald offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at the writers’ room on Instagram. The creator and star, who isn’t known for being too active on social media, worked on the scripts for both Season 3 and Season 4 with the rest of the team in 2019 and 2020. He also sent out a warning to haters this week on Twitter.

Donald Glover & Co. return to FX on March 24 for Atlanta’s long-awaited third season.
