Natalie Nunn Says Shaquille O'Neal Bought Her a Car While She Was Still in College

Nunn left Cam Newton raising his eyebrows after she casually revealed that Shaq bought her first car.

On a recent episode of Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, reality star Natalie Nunn casually claimed that Shaquille O’Neal bought her first car for her.

At around the 2:08:10 mark of the podcast, as seen above, Nunn shared that Shaq got her a lavish gift while she was still in college. “Shaq bought me my first car,” she shared, which caused Newton to raise his eyebrows. “You dated Shaq?” Newton asked, leaning in closer. “No, I never dated Shaq,” she replied.

“Something ain’t adding up,” Cam joked.

Nunn jokingly tried to bat away Newton’s iPad, from which he was reading his questions, in response to him repeatedly suggesting something was afoot. “Yeah, but, he bought me my first car!” she said. “I was at USC, he bought me… It was a bug. He bought me a brand new bug. … Yeah, it was a convertible little bug. … I was in college, I was young. Shaq played for the Lakers, USC was down the street.” The car she referred to here, assumedly, is a2004 Volkswagen New Beetle.

Nunn, who is now 41, attended the University of Southern California before she rose to fame in reality shows like Bad Girls Club and Love Games. Shaq, who is now 53, played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004. It’s unclear when Nunn attended USC, but if it was a 2004 car then she would have been around 19 or 20 at the time. “Now you being messy,” she joked when he kept questioning it.

“I never dated Shaq,” she reiterated, to which he asked, “What did you do to get the car?”

“Nothing,” she insisted. “I was a USC student athlete. He loved soccer. He used to come to the games. “He’s still my friend.”
