Jared Leto Stars in Final 'Morbius' Trailer

Jared Leto stars as Dr. Michael Morbius, a brilliant man who turns himself into a vicious vampire after being diagnosed with a rare blood disorder.

The final trailer for Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Morbius has arrived, showcasing Jared Leto in the role of the titular anti-hero.

Our latest look at Morbius elaborates more on the origin story of Leto’s Dr. Michael Morbius, and it also features a brief glimpse of Michael Keaton reprising his role as Adrian Toomes, who we last saw as the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s not entirely clear how his character factors into the film, as we’ve yet to see Sony’s Spidey spinoffs interact with the MCU outside of Tom Hardy’s very brief cameo as Venom in No Way Home.

The trailer does, however, see Leto’s character discovering his powers and coming to terms with his vampiric state. “Michael Morbius, you’ve been given a gift,” he’s told, only to reply, “Not exactly.”

Also starring in the film is Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.

With all the multiverse shenanigans going on in Marvel films right now, there might just be more big-name actors showing up when the film finally arrives in April. In fact, Spidey actor Tom Holland said in an interview back from December 2021 that he would be interested in seeing his character fight Morbius in the future.

Morbius is set to hit theaters on April 1, 2022.
