Lil B has shared his appreciation for Timothée Chalamet after the actor told Nardwuar that being knighted by the rapper when he was 16 contributed to his successful career.

In a tweet shared on Thursday, Dec. 26, Lil B reposted a clip of Chalamet thanking him and shared his appreciation for the Dune actor. "LEGACY AND LOVE! - Lil B," he wrote alongside the clip.

At an NYU Q&A session in 2012, Lil B invited a then-16-year-old Chalamet onstage to receive his blessing. The rapper knighted the actor, who has since garnered praise including an Academy Award nomination for his performance in Call Me by Your Name. Now 28, he recently told Nardwuar that the moment had a profound impact on him.

"I met him at NYU. I had $50 from a commercial I did, I bribed a kid to give me his ticket. I was in there alone, front row to the right,” he explained. “I raised my hand, I got called on by him, I told him I was going to ask out a crush. He invited me on stage and he knighted me. And honestly, he said ‘That boy's hands been blessed’ and from there my acting career took off.”

He said that he was "struggling" as an actor before that moment. "Thank you, Based God," he said. "Basically just done Royal Pains and then, you know, I was nominated for an Oscar by the time I was 22. Shout out Lil B. Nothing possible without Lil B, pray to the Based God."
