After a six month hiatus from streaming, Kai Cenat is teasing his return to Twitch.
In a post shared on his Instagram Stories via his secret account, Cenat wrote, “Mafia reunion.” Fans of the wildly popular streamer will know that this perhaps refers to a potential fourth “Mafiathon” subathon event, his series of month-long streams.
His third Mafiathon event went down in September last year, and since its conclusion, he hasn’t streamed on Twitch. At the start of the year, he shared a video on YouTube simply titled, “I Quit.” In the video, he announced that he would be pursuing different career paths and addressed his struggles with his mental health. He also used it as an opportunity to announce the launch of his clothing brand, Vivet.
The last Mafiathon was loaded with special guests, including Kim Kardashian, Ray J, Mariah Carey, Ice Spice and Lizzo, among others. Previous Mafiathon events have included appearances from Druski, Kyrie Irving, Denzel Curry, Serena Williams, Snoop Dogg, Lil Dicky, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, Kevin Hart, and SZA.
In recent months, Cenat has mostly kept a low-profile outside of promoting his clothing brand. He’s shared a number of low-key videos on various platforms, including a series of clips in which he read daily in an effort to better his vocabulary. More recently, he shared a video on his Kai’s Mind YouTube channel reacting to Ye’s long-delayed album, Bully.
“I am not going to lie. This was a banger album,” Cenat said of the record. “I feel like he didn't do too much overly experimental shit. I feel like he did just enough. You feel me? I ain't gonna lie. I like this one. I really like this one, honestly. I’ll fuck with it.”
