Issa Rae, who wrapped her acclaimed HBO series Insecure last year, has responded to a rumor that she’s expecting her first child with husband Louis Diame.
As Page Six pointed out, rumors that Rae is pregnant first started to circulate last week after a video of Rae greeting her Insecure co-star Yvonne Orji surfaced on social media. Some assumed she was sporting a small baby bump because of her form-fitting outfit, but she’s since shut down all the speculation with a simple tweet.
“I am not pregnant, fuckyouverymuch,” she wrote. “LET A BITCH EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY.” While some were convinced she’s pregnant, they seemingly missed how she was holding what looks to be a glass of champagne in the clip.

Rae got married to Louis Diame last year, announcing as such in an Instagram post where she joked she had an “impromptu photo shoot” in a custom wedding dress from Vera Wang. She added that her friends turned up to offer assistance, but were “sooooo embarrassed” when they turned up in the same dress. "Then I took a few flicks with Somebody's Husband," she added.
The Insecure creator is due to return to HBO in the near future for her new comedy series Rap Shit, although a release date has yet to be announced. She’s also set to appear in the horror film Vengeance, which is the directorial debut from The Office star and writer B.J. Novak, and the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One).
