During an IRL stream in Croatia, IShowSpeed dressed up as a Roman soldier and was greeted by a chant that left him baffled.
During the four-hour-long stream, Speed addressed a huge crowd of supporters, who appeared enthused when he walked out to dramatic music followed by others dressed as Roman soldiers. After being introduced, he yelled, "This is Sparta" to the crowd and repeatedly told them to be silent. At one point, they started chanting, "Messi, Messi, Messi!" to him, presumably in reference to his failed attempt to meet Lionel Messi last month.
"Yo, can we kill them?" he asked one of the others dressed as a Roman soldier.
Speed documented an attempt to meet with Messi last month, but when the opportunity arose, he was seemingly ignored by the soccer superstar. It's unclear whether it was a deliberate move on Messi's part or an innocent mistake. When he shared a clip of the moment on social media, he accused Messi of "airing" him.
IShowSpeed is currently on a tour of Europe, which kicked off on Monday (July 7). Outside of Croatia, he's also set to hit up Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Finland, and France, among many other countries. He'll be kicking off the daily streams during the tour at 7 a.m. ET each day. Earlier this year, Speed went on a wildly popular tour of China, which was accused of being paid for by the Chinese government.
