FaZe Temperrr, real name Thomas Oliveira, initially denied accusations that he had sexual intercourse with an underage girl, but has since admitted that he "slept with" a 17-year-old.
"My private life is being aired out for public entertainment, and I'm being forced into an impossible situation," said the FaZe Clan co-founder in his second video responding to the accusations, which stemmed from comments made by former FaZe Clan member FaZe Rain. He admitted that he went through a tough period following a break-up with his now-wife, Emma Smith, which led him to a "dark, dark place."
"I was that lost soul again, going to parties, being a fool. One day I go to New York and I go to this club that's 21+ and I link up with a buddy there. He invites a couple of girls and I end up going back with these girls," he said. "We're all shitfaced... I slept with one of them, and I found out after this girl was 17. And that's the age of consent in New York, but regardless, I was sick to my stomach. It was extremely uncomfortable knowing that and the situation."
Despite admitting that he "slept with" a 17-year-old, he hit back against the accusation that he's a pedophile. "Anybody who knows me knows I am not a pedophile or anything close to that," he said. "This is something that is going to follow me around forever, and it's just sick."
FaZe Rain sparked conversation online after he said that one of the core reasons he left FaZe Clan was because a member was a "pedophile," but he didn't name anyone in particular. FaZe Banks, who has also left FaZe Clan, later clarified that he was talking about FaZe Temperrr.
"The FaZe member Rain is referring to in that clip is Tommy. I know this because of a phone call we had between myself, Tommy, Apex and Rain," said Banks. "To be clear Tommy denied any wrongdoing, and no conclusion was came to on that call."
He later appeared on Rain's stream to talk about the situation, during which Rain alleged that Temperrr initially admitted to him, in private, that he had a threesome with two 16-year-olds. "For God knows why, he lied to me and said it was a threesome with a 16-year-old... When it was a single 17-year-old and one was watching," Rain said. "He admitted it, bro."
After everything came out, Rain admitted that he felt "horrible" about the whole situation.
"I wish it never happened. I’m sorry I didn’t speak out sooner, but I hope you can understand that it’s HARD, I loved this guy, I was a huge fan of him growing up," wrote Rain in a tweet. "I didn’t know what to do. Part of the reason I left FaZe was because of it,i couldn’t be side by side who did something like that. I wanted to speak but just felt so fucking bad & eventually I just couldn’t take it anymore."
The official FaZe Clan social media accounts have yet to respond to the allegations.
