Ellen DeGeneres 2016 Tweet Calling Diddy 'Cuddle McSnugglestuff' Resurfaces, People Are Stunned It Is Still Up

The tweet has been making the rounds again following Diddy's indictment on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Following the indictment of Diddy on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, a bizarre tweet Ellen DeGeneres shared in 2016 about the Bad Boy Records founder has started to make the rounds again.

Tweeted on Nov. 4, 2016, to celebrate Diddy's birthday, the tweet appeared to be a joke about the rapper and media mogul's long list of different aliases. "Happy birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnuggglestuff," she wrote. "You don't need to know why."

Diddy has, of course, gone by names including Puffy, Puff, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Love.

The tweet was always pretty bad—not because it's offensive or anything, just unfunny—but now it's taken on a different life following the allegations against Diddy. As the site formerly known as Twitter is one to do, the tweet resurfaced as Diddy sits behind bars.

This isn't the first time one of Ellen's interactions with Diddy has resurfaced following allegations against him. From 2006 to 2022, Diddy made at least 16 appearances on Ellen's eponymous daytime talk show. During one of those appearances, in 2009, he spoke about Chris Brown's domestic violence case against Rihanna.

"I don't think it's right for anybody to hit anybody, at the end of the day," said Diddy during the appearance, which went viral again after a video showed him violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
