Meghan Markle's Father in Hospital Following Stroke, Half-Sister Says it's Due to Stress

Meghan Markle’s father Thomas has been hospitalized following an alleged stroke, and her half-sister now claims it’s in response to stressors in his life, per TMZ.

Samantha Markle told the publication that she believes the stress in his life is coming from Meghan, seemingly blaming their lack of a relationship for his declining health. The 77-year-old was rushed to the hospital on Monday night, as he was brought onto an ambulance in Tijuana around 9:30 PM, when he had to write his thoughts down on a piece of paper due to a reported inability to speak.

Now, Samantha claims her father is having difficulty moving, just four years after he claimed he suffered 2 heart attacks around Meghan’s 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. He ended up missing his daughter’s wedding. Meghan’s half sister, who is accusing her of playing a role in the health issues, is claiming that she “better stay the fuck away from a funeral and not use it as a photo opportunity.”

These claims come from the same relative who filed a lawsuit over an interview her half-sister did, as she argued that Meghan was being dishonest when talking about her past during her tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview in March of 2021. Oprah has since said that she didn’t realize the discussion would “have the reverberating impact that it has had and continues to have.”

“I did a lot of preparation for that,” she said. “It was really important to me that what we put out there in the world was put out into the world at the time that everybody could see it and that things didn’t leak and things weren’t misconstrued before the actual interview happened. I remember when we finished doing the interview, and that interview was 3 hours and 20 minutes I think, I stood up and said to the crew, ‘We all know what was said here and how important it is to have a trust to the people who just shared that so I’m hoping you all will not go out into the world and share what has happened here.’”
