Myspace was exactly that: your space. You were free to customize and change your page the same way you might decorate your room. Yet, rooms are often cluttered and dirty, and eventually, so became Myspace. People left, Myspace turned empty, and it never captured the same magic. Then JT came along to save the day. The new Myspace is cleaner and more organized. There are different types of profiles, and there are limitations—and that makes all the difference. It's a place to go if you want to discover new music, new artists, and new perspectives. Here are 10 Reasons Why You Should Give Myspace Another Chance.

The Mixes
Unlike most sites with that feature playlists, Myspace has in-depth mixes crossing many genres and generations. The mixes actually open your eyes to new music in a way that the "Kanye West Station" on Pandora can't.
New Original Features
Myspace is making an effort to spread culture. The homepage features an almost infinite side scroll with featured profiles and promoted posts. The new Myspace has original content, including a daily-featured artist, as well as "Throwback" and "Ones to Watch" features.
Their Commercial
Myspace came back in a major way with new goals and new people. The relaunch commercial featured artists such as Pharrell to Riff Raff; it tried to capture the essence of the new site in a minute and a half. So, what's the focus? Music and well, fun. There are artists running around, collaborating, and having a genuine good time. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
The User Interface
User interface is important. Today when you get on the computer you may have 20 tabs up in one window. Myspace's new interface lets you multi-task: you stream a video in the corner while editing your profile on the same tab, and even navigate away from the page and the video will continue playing.
The Community
The new Myspace focuses on the creative community, like artists, designers, and musicians. This new iteration is more focused, with specific types of profiles, making it easier to link up with connections and collaborate in the creative community.
The Discovery
Myspace used to be a place where you could aimlessly roam and eventually find something that made the search worth it. With the new Myspace, you can search with precision, using filters like location and type of profile. For example, you can search for "Hip-Hop/Rap" musicians in your zip code and freely flip through the search of results for something you actually want.
It's Easier To Use
On the old Myspace you were stuck trying to code a new banner for hours. With the new site, you have the option of linking your profile with other social media sites. All you have to do is sign-up, customize your profile, connect with people, and wait for your community to build.
Justin Timberlake's Stamp of Approval
Justin Timberlake channeled his on-screen character, Facebook's Sean Parker, with his investment in Myspace, and if anyone knows how to bring the sexy back, it's Justin Timberlake.
Because Tom Was Our First Friend
If you ever had a Myspace you remember the "top friends" portion of your page, and you remember Tom. Tom and his white shirt was everyone's first friend, and likely last. He isn't a part of the social network anymore, but isn't nostalgia a hell of a drug? And for that, Myspace deserves a second chance.
The Updated Aesthetic
The new site is colorful and freeflowing. The design shows the newly placed importance put on creativity and helps push Myspace's identity as an online artist community. Myspace is pretty cool, but it needs you to be even cooler.
