Sneako was assaulted during a livestream in New York City on Tuesday (April 14). It’s currently unclear what led up to the confrontation but the streamer took a moment to talk about what happened.

Not long after the incident was caught on video, Sneako took to X, formerly Twitter, to address the situation. “Im fine we got it handled. Going live again in an hour for Professor Jiang X Dave Smith,” he wrote.

Sneako hopped on a livestream only an hour after the attack and gave his side of the story, calling it “random.”

“I got hit, you can see it in the video. I got hit a few times, I get up and immediately [he] pulls out mase and runs away. This doesn’t make sense that it was a random person,” he explained.

This isn’t the first time Sneako got into a heated moment while in NYC. Earlier this month, he got into it with an angry New Yorker who had an issue with being recorded without his consent. Sneako was approached by a fan for a photo near Union Square before an incident unfolded off-camera as his cameraman briefly turned away, capturing nearby pedestrians instead.

“I don’t want myself on your camera. Delete that shit,” said the man, with his girlfriend stepping in between him and his cameraman Kozu.

“He’s filming me, he’s not filming you,” Sneako answered. “I’m a YouTuber, I’m just making a video.”

Sneako then explains that he’s not recording but rather livestreaming on YouTube. The explanation seems to satisfy the angry man but not without a final warning.
