Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson are engaged. The Associated Press reports that the Saturday Night Live star and the actress behind Black Widow decided to take things to the next level after two years together.
The marriage would be Johansson's third and Jost's first. The actress was previously married to Ryan Reynolds and a curator named Romain Dauriac. She has one child, with Dauriac, named Rose.
While Jost's run at SNL has been widely criticized, it's clear he has at least two people willing to go to bat for him. Beyond his famous fiancee, his "Weekend Update" co-host went off on a critic who leveled a mild critique of the actor and writer. Michael Che accused writer Steven Hyden of having sex with dogs.
As for Johansson, she (finally) has a Black Widow standalone movie to look forward to. It only took 22 movies and the literal end of The Avengers for Marvel to give Scarlett's super-assassin her due. The studio recently tapped Cate Shortland to direct the upcoming standalone.
