A physical altercation involving YesJulz has the internet talking.
In the new series W.A.G.s to Riches, which premiered on Netflix earlier this month, the 34-year-old social media influencer got into a heated argument over dinner and drinks with real estate agent Kenea Danair.
“So the white bitch. I heard some shit that she said about Black women,” Danair said about Julz 13 minutes into the series’ third episode. “I’ve heard through the grapevine she said some shit about Black women, and I’m a Black woman … She’s a culture vulture.”
An argument ensued when Julz, who is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent, asked Danair, “What do you do for your culture?”
Danair defended her work as a real estate agent who helps people secure homes, which Julz dismissed as merely “making money off people” rather than a cultural service.
Things escalated when Kenea referred to Julz’ controversy from 2017, when she tweeted her followers asking if she should wear a shirt that reads, “"N****s lie a lot.” At the time, the incident led to Julz being dropped from two events and a tearful apology.
Insults were thrown and voices rose as both women refused to back down and the confrontation turned physical. As security stepped in to separate the women, Julz shouted, “My hair real.”
In response to the fight going viral online, Julz claimed on her X account that Danair was “paid a couple hundred” to insult her during the scene “because none of the other cast members would do it.”
“She told the other extras this on set. I couldn’t understand why she was being so weird before the cameras turned on. Once I learned that, it all made sense,” she continued.
In a separate post, Julz wrote, “This girl has the little tv appearances she’s made in her IG bio like it’s something to be proud of. I haven’t even posted bout this show on my feed cuz it’s trash😂 I’ve always had motion, with or without a man. With or without a TV show. Clock that.”
Danair provided her perspective on the fight in a three-part video shared to her TikTok where she claimed her first interaction with Julz happened about two hours before filming and that her behavior was immediately confrontational. She mentioned taking issue with Julz repeatedly placing her hand near her face during the encounter.
“I’m thinking in my head, ‘Are you really acting like this is our first interaction together when you just came at me outside and you could’ve been pleasant about it?,’” she explained in her second video. “I’m giving this girl grace, after grace, after grace, and the passive-aggressive behavior is just boiling me inside.”
“I could not sit in a space with someone who has these allegations without me confronting it. But that's just me, obviously,” she continued in part three. “No one else held this woman accountable. They've been on scene after scene with her, talking to her and on various occasions, but no one ever thought to bring it up. That's strange to me, bro.”
