Streamer Marlon Says He Got Gorilla Glue in Eye, Claims Doctors Aren’t Sure If It’ll 'Get Better'

"It’s been bad, bro," he said in a recent stream explaining the ordeal.

Twitch streamer Marlon was recently sent to the emergency room after accidentally getting Gorilla Glue in his right eye.

On Tuesday (April 27), the streamer, born Marlon Lundgren Garcia, went live wearing an eyepatch and explained the ordeal to his followers.

“It’s been bad bro, to be honest,” he said, per Dexerto. “All trolling aside… I woke up one day and my eye was super, super red. I’m not one to go to the doctors, so I said, ‘Fuck it, it’ll work itself out.’ That was my left eye.”

“It kind of went [away] that day, and I woke up the next day and it was my right eye, and it was fully red,” he continued. “I was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’ I couldn’t stream because it hurt so much. My eye was just shutting slowly.”

At an urgent care center, Marlon explained his symptoms and came to realize that he may have touched his eye after his hands had made contact with Gorilla Glue days before. A doctor quickly referred him to the emergency room and warned him that he could go blind if toxins from the glue had seeped into his eye tissue.

Marlon, who had just moved to the United States from Sweden—a country with universal health care, found himself overwhelmed by the American healthcare system and was unsure of what to do.

Doctors later told him they weren’t sure if his eye could be saved, considering he supposedly waited a full 24 hours before going to urgent care.

“They’re just like, ‘For right now we’re gonna give you this, but, like, we genuinely don’t know if it’s gonna get better or not.’ They couldn’t tell, because it was that bad pretty much and it’s going, like, too far,” Marlon lamented. “That’s been my past two days. I haven’t been able to be on any social media—none of that.”

Marlon’s story recalls the infamous 2021 incident with Tessica Brown, who went viral for using Gorilla Glue instead of hairspray. Brown’s hair became stuck to her scalp and later required a surgical procedure to fix.
