Piper Rockelle says opening an OnlyFans wasn’t an easy decision, despite reportedly pulling in $3 million in her first 24 hours.
In a recent interview with TMZ Live, the 18-year-old content creator described the decision to open an account on the controversial platform as one of the hardest choices she has made even though she feels at peace with it now.
"I feel like everything was meant to be and, lowkey, everything happened for a reason, and I couldn't be more grateful," she told the outlet.
The content creator, who turned 18 on August 21, said she “waited” and “really tried to make sure this is what I wanted."
When TMZ’s Harvey Levin asked Rockelle about the nature of her content, specifically what she chooses to “do and not do,” Rockelle declined to get into specifics.
"Just go find out, you know what I mean? I'm not gonna tell you the ending of the book,” she said. “Go try it, if you want to. You don't have to."
Rockelle did however say that she mostly works solo but is open to collaboration, saying, "I have my first collab coming up, [on] the 30th, I think, it's coming out. I'm having a collab post. I'm really excited about that, but I mean, I do most of my content alone because I think that that's how I kind of want it to be. But I'm always open for collabs."
Rockelle, who was the focus of the Netflix documentary Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing, framed her decision to open an OnlyFans as a way to reclaim her autonomy after years of scrutiny as a child influencer on YouTube.
"I'm just kind of getting my freedom,” she admitted. “I feel like for a very long time of my teenage years, I was constantly getting told that I looked like this, or I did this wrong, or that I wasn't acting my age, you know? l've been getting told that I wasn't acting my age since I was 7 years old.
“I've always been told that I'm doing something wrong or that I shouldn't be showing my body like this … It's just funny as I feel free and like I can do whatever I want cause I'm 18 years 18 years old and nobody really can tell me different."
Rockelle also says her family is “very supportive” of her choice.
“Of course, money was a thing that I was thinking about, but it wasn't everything, you know?” she admitted. “I didn't expect to make as much as I did. I had a lot of 'what if I did this,' and I didn't make a lot of money from it.
“I knew it was gonna be a big topic about how much I made the first day, so l'm never gonna say how much I made ever again because I just don't think that that's right. I'm not in the mood to do that. But you know. By the time l'm old enough, I just wanna kind of disappear in a way."
Elsewhere in the interview, Rockelle confirmed she is single and focused on herself.
"I actually got out of a relationship about like a few months ago and it was great,” she said. “I love love, but I don't just date around, I really don't at all. So l'm gonna just stay to myself, you know what I mean? I'm gonna die alone anyways, so l'm just gonna be working for my future every single day."
