Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Kate Major.
According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, the 64-year-old was taken into custody on Saturday in Texas on a felony charge of “continuous violence against the family.”
A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet that Major, 42, while reportedly undergoing a mammogram, informed deputies that Lohan had flipped her out of a chair at their home days earlier, causing her pain and discomfort.
Lohan was arrested at his residence without incident after a female deputy observed bruises on Major’s body.
According to Page Six, the couple wed in 2014 but became estranged in 2018 after Major filed for a divorce more than a month after being arrested for domestic battery.
As noted by TMZ, Lohan and Major have a history of legal issues, including a 2023 incident where she was arrested for violating a protection order during a confrontation with Lohan.
Michael’s bond has been set at $30,000 and he’s scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
