LaKeith Stanfield Married Kasmere Trice and Welcomed a Baby

The 'Atlanta' actor and father of three revealed he and his partner took the next step in their relationship.

LaKeith Stanfield, 31, revealed he recently married Kasmere Trice, 29, and that the couple welcomed a child together.

“There’s life before being a parent, and then there’s life being a parent. It completely changes,” the Atlanta star told People magazine, which noted he's now a father of three.

“We just decided really early on, ‘We want to protect our baby as much as we can for as long as possible,’” said Trice. “And when it’s time for us to announce our child, our family, we do it our way.”

In line with their boundaries, Stanfield and Trice didn't reveal when they officially wed nor when their child was born. The couple also did not share the baby’s name and gender.

“Being in the public eye can be something that’s amazing, but it can also be something that is very hard on you,” LaKeith added. “There needs to be things that exist that are sacred and not consumption for everybody.”

The couple announced their engagement in December 2022. Per People Stanfield has two daughters "under the age of 7 from previous relationships," while Trice is making her debut as a mother.

Stanfield opened up further on Instagram, writing, "If you're fortunate enough in this life, you get to see your wildest imaginations manifested before your eyes. I am endlessly grateful to God for being able to achieve some of those things. The best part of it all was being gifted by the most high, a gorgeously intelligent and spiritually magnetic person to share life with. You too, can also turn those hopes into reality and work (and I do mean work) to bring about great things in this challenging, wonderful, terrifying, hilarious, painful, pleasure-filled experience called life. In any storm we stand unified and work to create conditions for the perfect breeze within ourselves. I love you and congratulations on motherhood."

In her own IG post, Trice said she's got an “omnipresent feeling of gratitude.”

“You are the perfect one, baby," she wrote of Stanfield. "Ushering in life, with the perfect partner. most loving and perfect husband. at the perfect time. i am thankful. and i know we are all meant to love and enjoy like this. thankful for my family. congratulations mr. stanfield. i love you, our union and i love our baby.”

In June, she wished LaKeith a happy Father’s Day, showing him in action as a dad. “Watching the way you love, support, defend, protect, parent, entertain (all the verbs!) the kids is the most heartwarming experience,” she said.

Stanfield is about to star in Disney’s Haunted Mansion remake with Tiffany Haddish, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny DeVito, and more. The film will hit theaters on July 28.
