Kim Kardashian is opening up about a health scare that left her family stunned.

In a teaser for a new episode of The Kardashians airing Thursday night (Oct. 23), the 45-year-old is seen undergoing an MRI scan before tearfully telling her family, “There was a little aneurysm,” which her doctors attributed to “just stress.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is “a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain.” While the condition can cause serious complications if it ruptures, leading to “bleeding in the brain, known as a hemorrhagic stroke,” the Mayo Clinic notes that “most brain aneurysms aren’t serious, especially if they’re small.”

The SKIMS founder has been open about how stress affects her health.

In the Season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, Kim also shared that her psoriasis returned following her divorce from Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

“I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back,” she said before explaining that she had been feeling “pretty tested” by her ex-husband, per People. “I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.”

Kim and Ye, who were married in 2014 and divorced in 2021, welcomed four children together: North, 12; Saint, 9; Chicago, 7; and Psalm, 6.

“They’re gonna know things. They’re gonna grow up, they’re gonna see. So my job as a mom is to just make sure that … they’re protected,” she said of her children.

“I always felt really bad and always protected and always wanted to help [him],” she said, before debating if she should have “stuck it out.” But this time, she said, “I didn’t feel that responsibility personally… It is so fucking sad.”
