Kevin Hart showed up to Cam'ron's Talk with Flee podcast—but hilariously walked off once the conversation shifted to Dame Dash.
The moment happened at the top of Wednesday's episode (April 22), when Cam opened the episode by explaining that he had tried to bring Hart in earlier that day and was shut down.
Cam claimed that Hart referred to his podcast as “the most dangerous show in the world” and shared his aversion to questions like, “How I feel about Kanye sucking dick.”
Moments later, Hart actually appeared outside the studio, and Cam immediately tried to get him in, yelling, "Yo, Kev, come on in here … One question. Just one question."
While entering the studio, Hart jokingly said, "Don't fuck up my career."
After Hart took a seat, Cam first brought up a viral moment from an August 2021 episode of Hart to Hart, where the comedian reacted to Don Cheadle saying he’s 56 years old.
“I didn't like what you did to my man when you said, 'Damn!’ Why would you do that to him, when he said his age and you say, 'Damn’?" Cam asked.
Hart replied, “It was a real reaction. You know, I'm shocked at the age of some. And, uh, you know, Don definitely looks his age, but I wasn't ready to hear it. So, that was just a real reaction. 'Damn!’ But then I immediately retracted it, which made it right.”
From there, Cam then pivoted to his main question.
“Your very first movie you did [2002’s Paper Soldiers], I was actually in it,” Cam said. “When you see Dame Dash today, what do you think?”
Hart got up and left immediately after the question was asked, ending his appearance on the spot as Cam and his co-hosts laughed.
After Hart left, Cam spoke at length about Hart's career and work ethic.
"First of all, jokes aside though, even though I wasn't joking, I just want to say realistically watching him ... I seen him in his first movie and the grind that he puts in," he said. “When you sit there and you see LeBron James hit a game—winning one shot—or Steph Curry hit a game-winning shot or Jalen Hurts throw a touchdown or Patrick Mahomes win a Super Bowl: We just see what goes on at the moment. You don't know the hours that go into somebody perfecting their craft."
He added, “You don't know the nights that he doesn't get a lot of rest ... You see him knock out movies with The Rock. You see him knock out movies with Ice Cube ... and do stand up selling out Madison Square Garden. So I just want to salute him because the grind—a lot of times—goes unnoticed.”
