Jordyn Woods has shared that she’s grieving the loss of a close friend to breast cancer.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old model and socialite wrote “Fuck Cancer” on her X account.
Woods followed up on Thursday with a grim update, writing, “Thank you for all of your prayers and concern. I had to bury one of the closest people to me yesterday after she lost her battle to breast cancer.
“Life isn't always fair. She will be missed tremendously,” she added.
According to TMZ, some fans may have thought the “fuck cancer” tweet was in reference to Woods’ father, who died of cancer when the model was 19.
Others believed it was about her boyfriend, New York Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns, who didn’t play against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday due to “personal reasons,” per Bleacher Report.
However, Sports Illustrated reports that Towns will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
