Channing Tatum Admits It’s Gonna Be 'Horrifying' When His Daughter Watches "Magic Mike" for the First Time

Tatum kept his dance moves PG while joining his 11-year-old daughter at Taylor Swift's L.A. concert.

Channing Tatum isn't ready for his daughter to watch Magic Mike.

The 44-year-old actor made an appearance on Thursday's episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers while promoting his new film, Blink Twice.

During the interview, Tatum talked about going to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert and how different of an experience it was seeing the show with his 11-year-old daughter Everly in Los Angeles, versus seeing it with his fiancée Zoë Kravitz, 35, in London, England.

"Seeing it with your daughter is very different because, you know, you gotta go in. I was dancing like I’d never danced before," said Tatum at the 1:20 mark in the video above.

"That’s a lot coming from you," Meyers quipped.

"You also have to make sure you’re not dancing like you dance, you know what I mean?" Tatum added, suggesting that there was no thigh slapping or body rolling, or any other moves reminiscent of his Magic Mike films in front of his daughter.

"I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance," he said. "It’s gonna happen… It’s going to be horrifying when it does."

The first Magic Mike, released in 2012, was loosely based on Tatum’s own experiences as a male stripper. The film became a box office smash with $167 million earned globally against a $7 million budget, per Forbes. Two more films, Magic Mike XXL and Magic Mike’s Last Dance, were released in 2015 and 2023 respectively.

In April, Tatum’s ex-wife and Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan filed a lawsuit against him claiming she was owed additional profits from Magic Mike. She argued that because the franchise was created during their marriage, it should be considered joint property.
