Going from a bona fideHarry Potter super-fan to starring in J.K. Rowling’s spinoff franchise is a true feat accomplished by few. It was announced last year that Jessica Williams would be among those few by joining the Fantastic Beasts sequel The Crimes of Grindelwald, and Sunday night the two revealed who Williams would be playing: Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks.

"Those movies and books, especially the books, were so important to me," Williams told EWlast year. "I could not have fathomed that when I was in the fourth grade reading these books, there would be a character I play that exists in this universe. It's insane to me."

Over dinner and tea while attending last night’s Broadway premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the author and 2 Dope Queens comedian shared the exciting news of the brand new character who teaches at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the American equivalent of Hogwarts. According to Mashable, the North American school of magic has "the reputation of being one of the most democratic, least elitist of all the great wizarding schools."

Williams’ character won’t be making a major splash in this next film, however, as Rowling says we’ll see only a hint of Williams in FB2. Instead we’ll have to wait until the series' third installment to meet Lally Hicks in full force.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters on November 16.
