Crazy Rich Asians is having a crazy successful second week at the box office, and making history while doing so. As the first film in 25 years to have an all Asian-American led cast, the Jon M. Chu-directed flick has had an emotional impact on people lucky enough to watch the luxurious rom-com based on Kevin Kwan’s book of the same name.

One of those people is none other than internet darling Chrissy Teigen. Teigen went on Instagram Sunday evening to post about her experience watching the film with her daughter Luna and hubby John Legend. “[Luna] looked up at @constancewu’s mother and yelled “yāy!” (“Grandma” in Thai) because she saw someone who looked like her yāy,” Teigen writes. “Someone beautiful and aspirational. It was something that simple that made my heart just...warm.”

In the post, Teigen expresses how much the film’s Asian representation meant for her personally. “You never know how much you miss being represented on screen until you actually see what it’s like to be represented,” she wrote. “And represented by all different types of characters with all different types of personalities, just like any other great movie.”

Besides the emotional weight of the film, the model and tv host also celebrated the extravagance of the hilarious rom-com. “Also aside from all that, it’s just colorful, fun and big as fuck,” she wrote.
