NBC's 'The Office' Might Be Coming Back

It's still too early to tell for sure.

The Office may be returning to television, Varietyreports. The comedy series, which ran for nine seasons on NBC from March 24, 2005, to May 16, 2013, was an adaptation of the BBC series of the same name.

The story line would remain similar to the original and take place at the fictitious paper company Dunder-Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The reboot will feature some cast members from the previous version, though no names were named, TVLinereports. Steve Carell will not be involved in the new edition of the show. Outside of that, there's little known about the reboot at the moment.

The original U.S. version of the show starred Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, and many others. It was developed by Greg Daniels.

The Office received an impressive 42 Emmy nominations. It won five.

We'll update when and if more information becomes available.
