While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were celebrating his cousin’s wedding in Tennessee, another bride and groom were saying “I do” without the famous couple in attendance.
But that didn’t stop the second pair of newlyweds’ wedding planner from breaking the internet with a post about the pop star and her Kansas City Chiefs beau. The wedding planner not only revealed that Swift and Kelce, both 35, were invited to the nuptials, but she also might have revealed that the couple — who haven’t said publicly that they’re engaged — are actually already married.
Ellie Nottoli, wedding planner for Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet and Emily Jarosz, took to social media to show off the finer details of the happy couple’s beautiful wedding, which took place in Kmet’s parents’ backyard.
In a Story posted to Nottoli’s Instagram on Monday, June 9, the wedding planner highlighted some of the “personalized touches” that made the event so special, according to a Monday, June 9 article in Page Six. The video included imagery of a letter that revealed the event's most famous invitees.
But instead of the “Table 13” assignment showing Swift and Kelce’s full names, the letter read simply, “Taylor and Travis Kelce.”
“We all know Taylor and Travis were at a different wedding in Tennessee,” Nottoli said in the post, according to the outlet. “But each guest had an envelope that was adhered to a beautiful backdrop, and Emily wrote love notes to all of her guests.”
The image divided the internet — some fans went wild with speculation that Swift and Kelce were already married, while others said that the letter was simply proof that Nottoli’s bride went with a traditional “aesthetic.”
“This is very common for couples (married and unmarried) for weddings,” one fan commented, according to the same Page Six article. “It’s the aesthetic,” agreed another.
“Me and my [boyfriend] do that too on gifts and stuff even though we aren’t married,” added a third.
Swift and Kelce couldn't make it to Kmet's wedding because his cousin, Tanner Corum, was getting married that same night. Photos of the famous couple have been shared far and wide as they celebrated Corum and his new wife, Samantha Peck.
