Wale Debuted New Music During His Show at SXSW Last Night

The DMV rapper is planning to drop his new album, 'Shine,' this year.

The music portion of SXSW is officially underway, and like every year, rappers are using the platform to test out some new music. The latest was none other than Wale, as he debuted his new song, "Pretty Young Thing," during one of his performances in Austin last night. This is actually a song that Wale had previewed in the studio back in February and fans have been waiting on it ever since. It's unclear when Wale is planning to actually drop the song, but he did tease during the show last night that his next album, Shine, is coming soon.

Exactly when remains a mystery, but back in January, Wale talked to Complex about the direction of the project and how he wants it to be different than anything else he's ever dropped. You can read that interview in full here, and check out the footage of Wale performing "Pretty Young Thing" above.
