Puff Daddy Is Opening a Charter School In Harlem

The school is currently taking applications from students.

It's no secret that Puff Daddy is an artist that's always looking to give back to his community, so it comes as no surprise that he's opening a charter school in Harlem. In the announcement today, Puffy revealed that the Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School, which he's been working on for five years, will officially open its doors in the fall. "Creating this school is a dream come true for me. I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders. The first step is offering access to a quality education," Puffy said in a press release. "Every young person should have the tools they need to succeed. All our children should be able to pursue their dreams. That is something I can impact with this school."

Enrollment for the school is currently open, and for now, they are taking students in grades 6 and 7, but will eventually open up to grades 6-12. More information on the school can be found on through the site here.
