It's no secret that Kendrick Lamar holds his hometown of Compton very close to his heart. Now, Compton is returning the favor as it has been announced Kendrick will receive the key to the city next month. The announcement was made by Compton Mayor, Aja Brown, on Twitter, where she also shared some kind thoughts about Kendrick. "You inspire millions + rep Compton with honor," she tweeted. The ceremony will take place on Feb. 13, which is actually just two days before the Grammys, where Kendrick leads all artists with 11 nominations. It's safe to say that those will be a special string of days for Kendrick and his family.
