While we wait for the long-overdue Chance The Rapper and Kanye West collaboration to finally come to fruition, Chance recently revealed that they almost put out something that nobody would have seen coming. In an interview with the Guardian, Chance said that 'Ye was originally supposed to narrate The Social Experiment's Surf album, and that Kanye actually heard the project in full before anyone else did. "In the final weeks of getting ready to put it out we had vocal chops that we were using from ’Ye talking about some of the themes of the project,” Chance said. "Through just thinking about it, it didn’t end up happening that way. Not to say it wouldn’t have been dope as shit!"
So, even though this didn't come to life - and it would have been epic if it did - fans can still hold onto the fact that Chance recently said he has a collab on the way with Kanye and more Chicago artists that is coming very soon. Chance's full interview with the Guardian can be read here.
