Trae Tha Truth claims that his ex used a libelous GoFundMe post to try and turn his daughter, Truth, against him.
The rapper recently spoke with TMZ about the chaotic situation he was involved with regarding his ex, Heather Cuevas, and their daughter. He claimed that she attempted to manipulate Truth into thinking that Trae didn’t want to have anything to do with her.
Of her claims, Trae Tha Truth said that there was a GoFundMe account created by Cuevas that both the rapper and his lawyers allege had a bunch of false claims against him. The GoFundMe page has been taken down already.
Back in December, Trae Tha Truth sought the public's help in finding his daughter. Though he’d been granted full custody of his daughter, he claimed that Cuevas took her to an unknown location and hadn't seen her in four months. He revealed at the time that he’d dropped off Truth to visit her mother for two days in Houston back in August.
He then explained that her mother was moving the child from home to home with the help of her grandmother and a few others. Trae Tha Truth also released a song, “Letter to Truth Pt. 2,” in which he expressed to her that he was searching for her.
Earlier this month, Trae Tha Truth and Truth were reunited at the Mexican border. Earlier that morning, he received a call letting him know that Cuevas had been arrested in El Centro, California on child endangerment charges.
Trae Tha Truth hopped on Instagram and shared a video showcasing him and his daughter together near the Mexican border. Never let no one tell you God ain't real," he wrote alongside the clip. "The first day of 2025 I received a call that I couldn't believe... (THEY SAID SHE WAS FOUND).”
“I know God is the ONLY REASON I held on when I wanted to give up... God put the right people in place, God place the right eyes to see, God put it on people's heart to assist and God aligned every person that prayed and heard they cry! Thank you God!,” he added.
