Music journalist Touré claims that drug use is to blame for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ wild parties and actions that he has taken over the last 15 years.
Speaking to TMZ, Touré claims to have talked with people close to Diddy and learned about the potential reasons for his actions over the last 15 years. “Friends are telling me that there's been about 15 years of hardcore drug abuse — anything that he can get his hands on — that are detaching him from who really is,” said Touré.
“So when you think about ‘why did you make such bad decisions to do these parties with so many people to video tape them, to say no when Cassie says that we can make this all go away for 30 million dollars — which is not a lot to him,” he continued. “That’s because he’s been dealing with drug addiction and his mind being clouded and he’s not in his right self.”
Touré, who’s known Diddy for a long time, alleged earlier this year that Diddy rescinded an internship from a family member because they refused to “stay the night” with him. Speaking on Joy Reid’s The ReidOut, Touré claimed that he reached out to him on behalf of his cousin.
“I know this man well enough to call him and say, ‘Hey, I need a favor,” Touré said.“This might have been 10, 12 years ago that I called him and said, ‘Hey, I have a family member who I want you to hire as an intern.’”
Touré then revealed that a family member, his cousin, began working with Diddy for a few months before mysteriously stopping soon afterward. For a while, his cousin wouldn’t tell him what happened, but they eventually opened up about the situation.
“Puff had said, ‘Come home, stay the night with me or the internship is over,’” Touré claims. “And [the intern] said, ‘Absolutely not.’ And the internship ended," Touré recalled of the alleged incident. "From there I was like, ‘Oh, this is how it goes. Okay.’ So to hear that things went even further with potentially, allegedly, [with] many other people, we feel like we’ve seen this coming.”
Earlier this month, Diddy arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Although he offered up a $50 million bail package that included both he and his mother’s homes plus travel restrictions, he was denied bail, and will remain in jail until his trial.
