Dominican rapper Tokischa didn’t just perform at Madison Square Garden on Saturday (March 21)—she also shaved her head.
Tokischa made the transformation during her opening set on FKA Twigs’ 2026 Body High Tour. The New York City concert came on the second night of her six-show run as Twigs’ supporting act.
In footage of the surprise moment, Tokischa can be seen removing her wig, standing in front of a mirror, and using a trimmer to cut off her real hair.
Not fearing cutting off too much, she even started to dance as she shaved everything. Check out the moment below.
Tokischa trimming off her hair comes days after she released her latest song, “Surfboard.” The track, produced by Skrillex, will appear on her debut album, Amor & Droga, which doesn’t currently have a release date. It’s described as a project that “is deeply personal, reflecting everything the artist has lived through and overcome on her journey to becoming the figure she is today, offering fans an intimate glimpse into her story,” according to a press release.
Tokischa will be sporting her new look at upcoming shows with Twigs in Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and Minneapolis.
Tokischa has had a huge few months as she builds towards the imminent release of her debut LP. In December, she collaborated with Ice Spice for the track, “Thootie,” and in January, she appeared on ASAP Rocky’s track, “Flackito Jodye.” In February, she released the track “Ridin.”
