The Strokes wrapped up their Coachella Weekend 2 performance by calling out the U.S. and Israel for its recent bombings in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East.

The moment happened as the group performed the song “Oblivious,” which the band hasn’t performed since 2016.

With the track about choosing sides playing in the background, The Strokes stood in front of an illuminated mosque backdrop with LED screens that showed a chronology of America’s historic misdeeds and controversies, from the slavery era through U.S. missile strikes in Iran.

Check out the footage of the performance below.

The video also showed recent American bombings in the Middle East and a clip of a building in Gaza getting destroyed by an explosion.

Other footage about the American government also appeared in the compilation, including clips accusing the CIA of overthrowing South American governments and a conspiracy theory that the American government was behind the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

The Strokes’ political statement is going viral online. During last year’s Coachella festival, the band Kneecap condemned Israel for its military actions in the Middle East in a similar protest, which led to a serious amount of controversy.
