A married couple has gone viral after a woman kissed singer Romeo Santos — leading to the couple’s divorce.
A viral video shows the woman, Miriam Cruz, going onstage and meeting Santos’ bachata group at a recent concert. When she got to Santos, she gave him a long, passionate, romantic kiss — as would anybody who probably met their celebrity crush. Afterward, she sat beside him while the band performed “La Guerra" with her hand on his lap.
Cruz’s husband wasn’t there, but he saw the footage of the moment — leading to their 10-year marriage coming to an end. Cruz allegedly wrote in a now-deleted statement, “I have to acknowledge that this achievement came at a very high cost: the breakup of my 10-year marriage.”
Elsewhere in the post, Cruz explained her actions, saying that she “got carried away by nerves and emotion, without considering how this could affect my family” and she now feels “overcome with deep sadness.”
But on the flip side, Cruz admitted that she was “happy” because she “achieved this long-awaited dream, one that I imagined for years.” She spoke passionately about how much she loved Santos, writing, “For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is. I have followed and admired him for a long time.”
Comedians Roy Wood Jr. and The Kid Mero recently reacted to the moment, explaining that Santos’ routine with women on stage was bizarre — with a married woman participating making it even wilder. “Now what the fuck do you think is going to happen on that car ride bruh?” said Mero in a recent clip. “There is no car ride home,” responded Woods.
