Rihanna says that ASAP Rocky reminds her often about how they enjoyed their time together when they were just friends.
In the singer’s new Harper’s Bazaar cover story, she explained how the father of her two sons, RZA and Riot, helps her remember to enjoy their time together even if they have a lot on their plates. “That’s a big thing for us and actually a really big thing for him,” Rihanna explained.
“He always reminds me, no matter how hard everything is that we’re dealing with in our life, in our careers and as parents, he’s like, ‘Remember when we were friends? Remember when we just used to have fun as friends?” she added.
Rihanna also opened up about how they like to have fun with others. “We like to eat with people. We like to shop with people. We like to walk the streets with people,” she explained. “I don’t like a very private room. I don’t have them shut down stores. I don’t like the Rapunzel life.”
“It’s very lonely,” she continued. “And what am I protecting myself from? I’m actually allowing people to dictate the robbery of the life that I could actually be living.”
Elsewhere in the story, Rihanna explained how much she loves Rocky’s “pureness” and “charm” towards their kids. “I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she said.
“And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best,” she added.
A few days ago when Rocky was acquitted in his gun trial, Rihanna and the rapper joked that their third child may end up being named after his lawyer, Joe Tacopina. The lawyer recently spoke on Extra and relayed a conversation he claimed to have had with the two after the verdict was delivered.
"Rihanna and Rocky said to me in the courtroom yesterday, they grabbed me and they said, 'Listen, our next baby is ASAP Joe,'" he shared.
