Noah Kahan Reminds Fans Not to Poop on the Floor at His Show After Fan Poops on Floor

He was seemingly responding to a recent viral video.

Folk singer Noah Kahan wants fans to know that if they’ve got to empty their bowels at one of his shows, to use the bathroom. And it seems like he had a reason to remind them.

On TikTok, graphic footage surfaced of someone’s….emptied bowels….on the floor at one of his recent concerts. In the video, the woman recording sounds visibly shocked as she says “What the fuck” while panning the camera around to show it all.

After that footage surfaced, Kahan took to X to address the shi—I mean, elephant in the room.

“If you have to poop at a show, please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao,” he wrote. “I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that.”

“I shit myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft,” he added.

According to a comment circulating on social media (that may be a parody), the person who used the bathroom on themselves seemingly did it so they wouldn’t miss any songs while going to the bathroom. According to the poster, they tried to step on what came out of them until security was flagged down.

This is Kahan’s second recent reminder to fans of how to act at his shows. On June 26, he posted on social media after being told that the Alger Brook Road sign in the Vermont town of Strafford had been repeatedly stolen. He’d sung about the road in his song, “The View Between Villages.”

Kahan posted on his Instagram Story about the situation, calling the thievery “a total disrespect to the folks who live on that road and a headache for the town to deal with.”

“I hate that because I put the road name in a song that some people have taken that as an invitation to disrupt the lives of the hardworking and kind folks who frequent it,” Kahan added.

After speaking about the road sign stealing, Kahan talked about his evolving fan community, saying that it “has grown much larger and for that reason I feel l should again remind you all about how deeply protective l am over my family’s privacy, and of the sanctuary of where I am from. Please don’t disturb these places or people.”
