Mustard has no plans to work with Drake in the future — even going so far to call him a “strange guy” in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

The acclaimed producer, responsible for making the beat for Kendrick Lamar’s epic Drake diss “Not Like Us,” was asked if he’d ever work with him again. He previously produced the YG and Drake collab “Who Do You Love?” in 2014. “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude,” said Mustard. “He’s a strange guy.”

Mustard also voiced his opinion on Kendrick, calling him a “genius.” “He does the unthinkable every time,” said Mustard. “And on a human level, just as a normal person, I like his style.”

“His whole mystique gives me the same vibes as Prince,” Mustard continued. “Even now [following the success of ‘Not Like Us’], the guy has not posted anything. I told him, ‘I don’t know how you do that shit.’ Me, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I’m no. 1!'”

Later in the interview, Mustard explained the origin of his “Nation of drizzlam” post he made on X earlier this month after fans of Drizzy mocked the producer’s first-week sales of Faith of a Mustard Seed and he called Drake “the Malcolm X of white people.

“These guys don’t go to sleep — all they do is tweet, tweet, tweet,” he said. “That’s where ‘the Nation of drizzlam’ came from. I said it in a joking manner, but I guess on Twitter it looked like I was mad. Drake should use that phrase. I won’t charge him for it.”

Mustard’s Faith of a Mustard Seed came out late last month and features Lil Yachty, Travis Scott, Young Thug, BlueBucksClan, 42 Dugg, Vince Staples, Schoolboy Q, Quavo, Rob49, Ty Dolla Sign, Charlie Wilson, Masego, Blxst, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Roddy Ricch, Future, Ella Mai, Kodak Black, and Lil Durk.
