Lil Wayne surprised fans this weekend by bringing out LL Cool J for a legendary performance at New York's Madison Square Garden.

On Friday (June 6), Weezy F. Baby performed a sold-out show at MSG to promote the release of his latest album, Tha Carter VI. During the concert, the New Orleans rapper brought out Uncle L to perform his classic song, “Rock The Bells.”

Since Lil Wayne sampled the song on the track “Bells” from his new album, the onstage linkup made perfect sense. LL Cool J took the lead during the performance while Wayne joined in as hype man, instructing the audience to put their hands in the sky.

Lil Wayne has finally released his long-awaited Tha Carter VI album. The LP, which features appearances from Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Machine Gun Kelly, Kodak Black, Bono of U2, Mannie Fresh, and Jelly Roll, is Wayne’s first entry in the Carter series in seven years following 2018’s Tha Carter V.

Tha Carter VI is available in multiple formats — including vinyl, which you can check out below — via Complex Shop.

In support of his new LP, Lil Wayne is embarking on a massive 34-date North American tour that includes stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Atlanta. The MSG show was the first of the tour dates and will wrap up in West Palm Beach, Florida on October 2.

Joining him for the trek across North America are special guests Tyga and Belly Gang Kushginton. NoCap will also be appearing on select dates.

At the upcoming show in Oklahoma City on Sept. 22, Lil Wayne will reunite with the Hot Boys on stage for one night only.
