JoJo Siwa revealed that her 21st birthday celebration at Disney World that went viral started off way worse than what people saw.

The singer spoke to People about how “the best 21st birthday ever” actually began with her crying for several hours.

“No one knows this, I cried for the first two hours of that day,” she revealed. “And I could have let those first two hours ruin the whole day, but then I’m lucky, my best friend Tyler [Cameron] called me.”

“He was like, ‘Come on over, we got bagels in the room for you! Bagels for the birthday girl.’ And I was like, ‘Ah Ty, you have no idea. You just saved me today,’” she continued.

Siwa explained that the reason that her birthday began on a sour note was because of someone close to her. “Everybody saw it be a really fun day online, but it was actually ruined by somebody who was very close to me and who was with me on that day,” she explained. “But I took a breath and I realized that she was going to be with me all day, but there was other people there as well, and so I made the choice to not let the person ruin the day and let the other people that were there have the best day.”

Back in July, Siwa made headlines when she handled a heckler in a way that she probably should have handled the person that ruined her 21st birthday.

At a show at Central Park’s Summerstage in New York City as part of a Pride Disco event, Siwa addressed a heckler who booed her in the middle of her performance.

“Who the living fuck just booed me? Where the fuck did that come from? Which one of you?" Siwa said to the crowd at Rumsey Playfield. “Respectfully, fuck you,” she added, while giving the heckler a much-deserved middle finger.
