Ja Rule recently walked his daughter, Brittney Atkins, down the aisle in an emotional moment captured on camera.
The rapper was captured on different social media clips embracing his daughter and walking with her at her wedding. Since he’s apparently no longer all about “Thug Lovin,” his new record label should be called Matrimony Inc.
Ja Rule was also captured shaking hands with Brittney’s new husband and embracing him with a hug. Afterward, the rapper hit the dance floor with his daughter and grabbed the mic to give a stirring, spur-of-the-moment speech.
“First I want to say congratulations to the newlyweds,” he reportedly said during the reception. “This is an amazing moment. We are all here to bless this union with love and longevity and all the good things that come with marriage.”
Ja Rule later hopped on Instagram to share a picture of him and his daughter together with a caption reflecting on the experience.
“Such an amazing moment for any father to walk his daughter down the isle [sic]… love you Babygirl,” he wrote.
Atkins previously announced her engagement on Instagram in 2023, revealing that her now husband approached her on a beach and got down on one knee.
Earlier this year, Ja Rule said that he approved of his new son-in-law in an interview with People.
“You know as fathers, it’s a weird thing, right?” he explained. “Because you go through this phase where [you want] nobody to touch your daughter. No man. ‘Nobody get my daughter.’“
