Freddie Gibbs has admitted he got a little scared when he accidentally injured wrestler CM Punk on the set of their new movie, Night Patrol.

The Indiana rapper opened up about the moment during an interview with TMZ in which he described his "favorite" memory from shooting. "It was a scary moment, for real, but I’m going to tell the truth," Gangsta Gibbs began. "I haven’t told anybody this shit either."

"I thought CM Punk was mad at me for real, for an hour. I was walking around that muthafucka for a while like, this might be a real fight in this muthafucka with a wrestler. I’m not going to win this shit," Gibbs recalled. "When we did the scene when I had to shoot him when he was trying to get in the apartment, I had the gun, and I swung that shit up, and it cut his hand for real."

Gibbs added that the wrestler called him a few choice words out of anger. "I said damn, this muthafucka got injured for real, and it’s my fault," he explained. "He’s gonna fuck me up."

Freddie Gibbs and CM Punk's new vampire movie Night Patrol premiered in Los Angeles on Thursday (January 8). In the film, Gibbs plays neighborhood hero Bornelius, while CM Punk is a police sergeant with whom he gets into an intense altercation with. The movie also stars Justin Long, Flying Lotus and Jermaine Fowler.

In an interview with Fox 5 New York about the film, CM Punk gave a detailed explanation about what it'll entail.

"It’s like a throwback, like grindhouse exploitation. Cops, bloods, crips, LA underbelly, vampires, and it’s a horror movie. That to me is like my bread and butter," he said. "I think horror movies can best talk about culture and what’s going on. I don’t know, horror movies to me have always been the voice of cinema.

"We look to all of these big movies, they tell stories but they don’t really get into real life stuff. There’s a lot of real life issues that are going on in this movie that are going on in a fantastical way with crazy characters and real life situations."
