DJ Khaled didn’t hop into the crowd on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff — he hopped on the crowd.
The legendary song orchestrator joined Fat Joe on the program to hype up the crowd and talk college football with its hosts — covering everything from how his records are like All-Star games, to his relationship with Shedeur Sanders.
After their chat, Khaled made the spur-of-the-moment decision to crowd surf. He made sure that people in the crowd would catch him, then ran at full speed towards the nervous group of people wondering if they’d be able to keep him up.
Spoiler alert: They were successful. Check out a video of the crowd surf happening below.
Khaled’s success was on full display during his moment on Big Noon Kickoff. Last year in an interview with Rolling Stone, he reflected on a period “around 2015” when he had to change his life for the better.
“I remember I had like a month to come up with this [large] amount of money,” said Khaled. “I kept saying, 'There’s no way in the world that we worked this much this far and we don’t have nothing to show for it.' I changed that right away.”
This way of thinking made Khaled look closer at the life that he was living, particularly his desire to begin a family. "I always bet on myself from day one," Khaled added. "But I tripled down that day.”
Khaled’s last album, God Did, came out in 2022. It earned him five Grammy nominations. In the time since, he’s been popping up practically everywhere in culture — from a collaboration with Fat Joe and Anitta for “Paradise,” to even appearing in Bad Boys: Ride or Die in a cameo that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence think was the best of the movie.
